Louise is an inspirational yoga teacher whose light shines from her heart uplifting us, her students, no matter the level of our yoga practice. She is most welcoming and generous with her time and brings enthusiasm, patience and encouragement to every class she teaches. She introduces humour and playfulness as well as a deeper meaning to her classes. She connects with each of us!

Louise begins each session with a beautifully expressed theme, ranging from the everyday to the spiritual, which she then weaves throughout our practice with consummate skill. She has the gift of being able to share her personal experiences with a group of people, sometimes strangers, in a meaningful way, illuminating precisely the point she is making to help us focus awareness on aspects of our nature, both light and dark.

Louise exposes her students to a taste of tantric philosophy, just enough to whet the appetite for more, if we are so inclined. She gives us a brief glimpse into the ancient wisdom, poetically describing the creative dance of the universe and our connection to the bigger energy. She encourages us to leave the mundane behind and to go on a journey with our breath, which is our life force.

When I started yoga with Louise eight months ago I had a knee injury which prevented me from getting into certain poses, even the basic child’s pose held challenges for me. I have come to trust her completely and know that if I pay attention to her clear instructions on proper alignment, I achieve impressive results. She inspires me to constantly go deeper in my poses through focus on the body mind connection, to bring mindfulness to my practice.

Louise helps me to shift my inner state; her class enables me to reach a natural high. When I listen to her with an open heart, by the end of her class I feel transformed and emerge from the yoga studio more able to deal with whatever comes my way in the ups and downs of everyday life. I am so grateful to have found a teacher of Louise’s stature,  whose skillful lessons bring me joy as well as flexibility.

With thanks and gratitude to my teacher and friend,
